Brent is now working on his PhD at UC San Diego in the Division of Biological Sciences.

Research

Brent is interested in the molecular basis of how cells make complex decisions, with a particular focus on stem cell differentiation. His overall goal is to develop novel approaches to interrogate and manipulate the behavior of cells using optogenetic tools.
